If this is unprofessional I can (and did extensively) apologise for making a lighthearted comment regarding the delivery situation, the funny element being that the small car was carrying a lot of weight - as I'd spoken with this customer on the phone and mentioned that I could maybe get his weights to him a day or two sooner if I found a friend or someone to do the 1hr 10min delivery - as opposed to the external courier we use. As a note to any potential customers reading this - the 'unprofessional text' I sent was 'Your delivery will be with you in 15 mins. It's probably the last time I take delivery into my own hands though, in situations like these customers will have to wait longer - but the weights will turn up in a shiny van, which seems preferable to some. Delays are always bad and annoying and I definitely don't disagree, but unfortunately this review is not ultimately about this? It's a shame that I used my own time to make sure your weights got to you the same day we spoke on the phone, you say the Friday was fine but I got them to you personally on the Wednesday, because I care about my customers and it was within my power to get them to you 2 days before a courier. I did think we had come to a resolution but this review clearly differs. I am as frustrated as my customers with the delays the steel industry is facing, 10x more infact as I share all of your pain when you have to wait for products! I did explain this to you and you seemed to understand on the day. I am quite surprised by this unfair review.
